President’s Message
The Florida Alliance of Paralegal Associations has a storied existence and has played – and continues to play - a strong and significant leadership role in the future of the Paralegal profession. I am truly honored to have been elected by its Board of Directors to lead this very dedicated group of association leaders throughout the state of Florida for the next year.
As this new year begins a new decade, I am dedicated to both continuing to build upon the prior successes that FAPA has been able to achieve and to develop and implement a new vision for the future of all Paralegals throughout Florida going forward.
FAPA was instrumental in the passage of Rule 20 which provides for a registration program for Paralegals within the Florida Bar. However, our work is nowhere near complete as it has always been the goal of the vast majority of Florida Paralegals to have a mandatory form of regulation of its profession. The goal of such regulation is to both safeguard the profession’s integrity and to forge a heightened public perception in defining the role we play in the delivery of legal services. My primary goal as FAPA’s president is to work with all of its member associations to achieve this milestone during my tenure.
Rest assured, if you belong to a member association of FAPA, your leadership will continue to work behind the scenes to achieve this and other goals which advance our chosen profession into the future. If you belong to an association who is not a member, urge your leadership to join us in our vision for the future or consider joining us as an at-large member. FAPA’s strength in unity allows us to serve each of you as The Voice of the Florida Paralegal Profession.

FAPA HAS A NEW MEMBERSHIP LEVEL FOR INDIVIDUALS and CORPORATIONS!
Many individual paralegals and corporations wanted to support FAPA and become a member, but until recently FAPA was only open to paralegal associations in Florida. In response to this demand, FAPA has now changed its bylaws and created at-large membership level for individuals, and a patron membership level for corporations! Please see our Membership web page for more detail, and to download registration forms. | |||||||||||
